Land Acknowledgment
Onyx+Ivy acknowledges that we live, work, love and play on Treaty 7 traditional territory - the traditional and ancestral territory of the Blackfoot Confederacy: Kainai, Piikani and Siksika as well as the Tsuu T'ina Nation and Stoney Nakoda First Nation. We make this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to those whose territory we reside on.

Onyx+Ivy strives to create a place that connects and includes all people. We believe that accessories accompany us through some of our biggest memories and want our customers to be able to capture those moments and feel connected to each other as a community.
THE FOUNDERS
Onyx+Ivy was launched in 2019 by neighbours turned friends Jess and Gem. After a year of business planning and searching for inspiration, Onyx+Ivy was born. The goal was simple; an all inclusive accessory brand, and a creative outlet that was desperately needed for these two moms. Armed with sewing machines and the ambition to succeed, Jess and Gem started sewing scrunchies at their kitchen tables.
Their passion and commitment to creating and curating products that aim to empower any person through each season of their life has remained at the forefront of what Onyx+Ivy strives to do. Today, the brand has grown into so much more than they could have possibly dreamed; a place that fosters community and connection, with focuses on inclusivity, mental health, rare disease advocacy, and social issues.
THE TEAM
Soon after launching, Jess and Gem knew that they needed to find the right team to support their vision for Onyx+Ivy. In 2020, they added 2 core members to their team. Carly and Steph both support the goals of the brand and have been an integral part of growing the business. While they each have individual roles, they bring value to every facet of the company including product development and community impact. Recently, Onyx+Ivy also added a team of home based seamstresses to aid in production. They strongly believe that a collaborative effort leads to better growth, both personally and as a brand.
COMMUNITY IMPACT
Being able to spread awareness and support all aspects of our community is an essential part of why we started Onyx+Ivy. We value having a platform to be able to contribute and invest back into our community. We work towards achieving this through donations, product promotions, and sharing the knowledge we have gained through continuous education.
